Hi,
I've learned a lot by reading various threads here and thought it was time to come out of the woodwork and become a contributor and say "Hi"!
I'm Bob, hailing from Boston. I work full time as a photonics engineer but am very passionate about video and photography. Back in the summer of 2013, my then-one year old daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. After many rounds of chemo, surgeries and radiation, she was declared cancer-free back in December. It's been an incredibly long journey and she's fortunately now a normal and energetic three year old. Out of this journey came a renewed determination and focus for me to do what I love, video production.
You can probably understand how I'm really interested in creating videos with hopeful messages right now. Most of my work so far as been for church, producing creative scripture readings, recording special services and testimonies. I'm currently making a short documentary about a free bike tune-up event for a low-income housing authority. I'm also working on a longer-form documentary about a truly inspiring woman's lifelong mission to serve the poor and oppressed at a recovery center.
There is quite amazing work produced by members of this forum. Thanks to all for sharing their talents and tips. I look forward to contributing, too!
