TJ here with my first post as a forum member.

Just a little background - videography is just a hobby of mine but I hope to get into it more and more in the months and years to come. I am a computer programmer in the real world.

I have been using Vegas along with my Sony HandyCam for a couple of years and I have learned a lot about shooting and editing video. But I am very excited today because...

...I placed a nice little order Tuesday with Tommy at EVS which is supposed to arrive today via FedEx. I should be receiving:
Panasonic DVX100A
Audio Technica AT4073A Shotgun Mic
Sennheiser EW112 Wireless Lav
Lowel DV Pro 44 Light Kit
Libec LS22 Tripod
ProMax SteadyTracker XTreme
And also a hard case and extra battery and charger for the camera, a fish pole, windscreen, shock mount, cables, blank tapes, etc.

I also order the Hollywood Camera Work DVD set and should get it on Tuesday.

I hope to learn a lot from all you guys. Thanks in advance!

All together it was around $7500 (don't tell my wife  ). There are some other items in the package I didn't mention.

Tommy Mack at EVS (www.evsonline.com) was very helpful in putting the package together and steering me in the right direction. It would have been easy for him to sell me some higher priced items but he understood where I am and where I want to go. I didn't shop necessarily for the best price - I shopped for knowledge and customer service.

Another item I may try to slip in before my wife divorces me is one of the CobraCranes from ProMax. The demo video blew me away.

I am lucky enough to work from home. But if that package arrives before 5PM there will not be much working going on!
