Hello Everyone

Hey guys,
We were just at Government Expo in Washington, DC, where I was made aware of how busy this forum for Vegas and 24P is.
I was tech chair of the DV, Lighting, and Sound track for the DMDC portion of the conference, and Gary Adcock told me that this was a jammin' forum, so I came in to check it out. He was right!
At the Expo, we presented a session on shooting 24P, and used a Panny DVX100 to do the classes. While I don't own a DVX myself, two guys that regularly train for us do have them, and I've got a lot of footage shot with this camera. So, even though I don't own a Panny DVX, I'm hopeful that I can still hang out in this forum from time to time? Congrats on how large/busy this community is!

Re: Hello Everyone

It's great to see you here, Spot! I look forward to you hanging around. Your advice has proved to be most valuable.

Re: Hello Everyone

Hey Spot...

You're kidding, right? You know you're welcome. Heck, having you and Gary Kleiner both join in the last week, well, we might just become one of the premiere Vegas forums (like that pun?) :)

Re: Hello Everyone

Spot--

You pop up on SO many forums, it's getting scary! It's good to see you here, as well!

(And don't forget to mention your books. The one that I bought on Vegas 4 taught me everything about Vegas... and I had already thought that I was a reasonably advanced user!)

David.

Re: Hello Everyone

Thanks guys, glad to be here. David, glad you liked the Vegas 4 book. The Vegas 5 book (Second Editionto the 4 book) just started shipping about 3 weeks ago, and the "Instant Vegas 5" book from myself and Jeffrey Fisher starts shipping tomorrow. We're pretty excited. Lots of fun things going on with Vegas, that's for sure. And this appears to be a great community.

Re: Hello Everyone

Ha! Never thought I'd see that! ....

Spot
as a "trainee"
On a Vegas Forum!!!!

Now that's an oxymoron if ever I saw one!!!

Great to see you and Gary around here!

All the best...

Great to see you here, hope your ready to answer many questions :)

I also own your book on vegas 4.0, it rocks. It was great to see Ruddy Sarzo contribute as well. He is the reason I now use Vegas. I met him on tour and we chatted about Vegas for a while. I just wish I had my laptop with me for some Vegas tutoring.

Ray

Re: Hello Everyone

Rudy is definitely a great evangelist, isn't he? He's out with Dio right now, but using Vegas to cut together some video of the tour.
Thanks for the kind words, and looking forward to spending a little more time around here.
