hello and dvd archirtect render HD

Hello,
My name is Chris and I signed up here at least a year ago, but never got around to using or posting on the site before (I honestly forgot about it). I now remembered and plan to using this site for help and to help in any way I can to others. I'm a sophmore in high school and right now my driven career plan is in filmmaking (had love of it almost forever!). I've made and am in the process of making many projects, and it's always exciting to me.

Anyway I did have a question too. I use sony vegas pro 9 and dvd architect (I believe either 4.5 or 5) and have a video that I want to put onto a dvd. Now I shot this on my canon hv30 in Hd and edited in hd (1920x1440 in 24p or 30p I believe); however, I want to render it onto a regular dvd. I know it will not be the same true hd quality, but I'm guessing it could still be ok or at least as good as sd. So it seems they say you should render in mpeg-2 format and the ac-3 audio. But below the box for the type you want to render it as there is also a template box. It seems usually you want it underneath dvd architect (mine being widescreen) but there are also some hd and even bluray formats. IDK of I still just render it under the dvd arch. ntsc formtat or if rendering in hd would be better for quality and it would still look better on dvd. I'm guessig the blu ray format is only if you plan to burn on blu ray, but still not sure (bllu ray has some settings with my resolution 1920x1440 24p) so wasn't positive.
In short, if I have hd video on regular dvd, do I use ntsc or hd or even blu ray template? Any custom templates I should change, too? Thanks a lot! Sorry it is long.

Use the widescreen NTSC template. Render your Mpeg2 video and AC3 audio separately. DVD *ONLY* understands mpeg2.

The BluRay templates are only if you are writing to a BluRay disk with a bluray burner.

Good luck.
