Hefty lens...

I’m looking into the century 1.6x tele…my problem is I will defo switch to HVX when I can…obviously I will have problems/ no chance of it working with the 82mm HVX lens…am I mad to invest this late in the day…(I have 3x music vids plus some other projects that I would love to use it on)…what do you guys think??? Over in blighty it’s a massive £800.

Because the 1.6X works fine on the Sony HDV camera (it is optically the same as the one sold for the Panasonic DVX- the mechanics of the mounting are different) We suspect that optically it will work on the new HVX200 but if so would require mechanical modification.

This is not 100% certain and the modification could cost a couple hundred dollars depending on what is required (no details of the HVX200 lens are yet available)

So the advice to rent it if you can is good safe advice.
