Heavy dirt specs when using Brevis35

Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been covered before...I tried a search but couldn't come up with any answers.

I've had the Brevis35 for a while now, but only recently was able to actually try and apply it thanks to my Ikan monitor purchase.

I had everything set up and ready to go, and noticed some specks of black dirt which I assume is on the ground glass itself. I cleaned everything that I could and it didn't go away. Can I clean the ground glass? Also, when referring ot the ground glass, we are talking about the little windows in which the image is projected, no?

Also, the vibration that the adapter provides...how fast should that be moving? Mine is a very slow rotation, which didn't eliminate the black specks but rather drew attention to them by having them moving around on the screen.

Any tips on cleaning this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The video university at cinevate.com shows you how to clean the ground glass. You get to see Dennis running it under water and everything.

I don't think it's on the GG. You have a flip unit? Usually specs turn into circles when the vibrate, which can still be annoying and noticeable. Probably dirt in the flip unit.

That means its on the ground glass if you are seeing it move and holding under the faucet with the water on full blast (hold it by the edges tight) should get rid of any specs. I clean mine that way when it needs it.
