heated G5

Any G5 users out there? If so, does yours give off lot's of heat? I noticed my work area getting warmer quicker, it doesn't help that summer is just about here either. :crybaby: Hate the heat...

Anyway, anyone experience the same?

yes. I also experience the fans going full blast all the time. It pisses me off, I can't wait for the new MacPro so I can get rid of this POS.

G5s generate a ton of heat. If you're fans are going full blast all the time you're either in a room that is not cool enough, or you have a fan sensor malfunction and should take it to an authorized service center to get fixed under warranty.

My G5 used to lock up whenever I was doing some heavy duty rendering.

Now, when I need to, I take the lid off and point a 3 foot house fan at the innards to keep eveything cool.

It looks strange, but it works great.
