Health Insurance for freelancers and self imployed

Hello All. I am on my Third year of being independent and have gone with out health insurance for three years. Has anyone purchased any coverage for them and their family?

Could anyone recommend provider?

Hey,

Yeah I got health insurance through NASE -- the National Association of Self-Employed, and it's through MEGA Life Health and Insurance Company. It has been a good deal for me so far, I mean it's reasonably priced, not super cheap, but good value, and it enrolls you in the NASE organization, which is kind of cool. Also if you stay with the insurance until you are 65, you get back all of your unused premiums. I'm sure not that many people end up staying with them that long, but heck, that's a good incentive anyway! It's a nifty program.

I've got the same. I've got a high deductible but the prem is reasonable. I would check it out. You got nothing to lose.
