Headphones/undies-Same thing!

So I went to buy a set of Sony headphones the other day but asked if I could try them out first. The salesman said he was sorry but the health board wouldn't allow it due to risk of personal contamination. So undies and headphones can't be tried out ahead of purchase. Personal contamination eh! So I e-mailed the health department today requesting that they quarantine or delete every other member of the human species on this planet as they were a contamination threat to me. How do these monkies at the health board think we made it to two hundred and some odd billion strong? I can see the poor little health worker time warped back to cave man days peering into some cave..."Excuse me Mr. Caveman...I'm going to have to ask you to change you beddin...er leaves and throw away some of those Moose bones in case you get sick!

crazy...the electronics store near me has a whole giant rack of disheveled headphones that have been on god knows how many heads...

Sorry...I get population dyslexic sometimes...However many people ther are on the good ship earth I meant.

My experience with various authorities is that they think just because THEY are sick, everybode else is too.

Heh! Reminds me a vacuum cleaner salesman (actually, he claimed he was a student at University of Windsor...). When we first came to Canada, we had a big map of the country on our wall. I don't remember how the conversation started, but it went something like:

Salesman: yada, yada, yada, ... There are 300 million people living in Canada
My wife: ??? I thought there was about 26 million (which was pretty close back in 1990)
Salesman: Are you kidding? (turns to our map) Look how HUGE this country is! There must be at least 300 million living here.

Oh well... Sure, mister vacuum cleaner... And all of them withing 100 miles of United States, ready to invade.

He didn't make the sale, poor soul.

Disclaimer - this is not meant in any way to poke fun of emigrant - I'd have to poke fun of myself too. Can't allow that happen!

Funny...Before I made a living posting here, I used to sell vacuums...What street did you live on?

That reminds me, are you getting dental? Because Jarred is screwing me on my contract re-negotiation.

Hmm, so I wonder what the health department thinks about all those listening stations with headphones at all the music stores.

Remember when airlines would place those little headrest diapers on the seats. Don't see that anymore. Mmm, can you say lice. :cheesy:
