Headphone stuff

Has anyone tried the Boostaroo headphone amp?

It seems like a nice little box to add for a DVX100 or any DV camera. In fact I would also advice to plug the device and velcro it to the camera, and never unplug it again, except to change batteries (if you can't do it when it's plugged).

Pity it doesn't include a small pot wheel, like walkmans used to have.

Of course I have nothing to do with Boostaroo, but I am in the portable audio business and I think they came out with a nice product.

I also like how each of the 4 channels are independently amplified so you can give a set of headphones to your assistants/directors etc.[/quote]

Good to know. I will probably put it on my short list when I get my DVC80 or DVC30.

Pity B&H does not stock it yet.

Re: Headphone stuff

i will sugest to do something smarter and change thr plug or addd aditional 2 rca right angle plugs ( dont use regulars they will brace the camera sockets ) and use cleaner -10dbv out for monitoring .
you will notice the difference in sound qualiy imidiatly using it instead trying to amplify noicy headphons out

i have rarely needed more than one headphone but i really like the smallest amp they sell at headphone.com it is super high quality.
