headphone output problem...

hi

i searched the forum but maybe i missed the right topic. i have dvx100a and now i have a headphone output problem. it was gone suddenly without dropping to floor or etc. i cant get anything from headphone output but the camera record the voices correctly and even i can get voice through the volume output near the video output jacks. i only have problem with the headphone output jack. And i thought repair service is going to change headphone jack.

i send the camera to repair service but they said it is a mainboard problem and it probably cost 600euros. now i cant really believe them because all of the sound ways works perfectly except headphone output. is it possible the problem can caused through the mainboard or do i have to ask for any other repair service??

I have a similar problem with mine . If I push the jack all the way in I recieve no sound to the head phoneds BUT if I pull out the jack a bit it works !!

I think I can live with this ..sorry can't help with the mainboard question.

On a school dvx100a that i used to work with, after 9 months we ran into similar trouble. For some reason the only output that any headphone could get was the left side. It really sucked when doing shoots with isolated channels.
