Several problems, most likely related:
1) No audio coming out of headphones (not even the white noise). Checked audio monitor levels and they are OK. Checked headphones on different camera - they are ok. Audio is being recorded but is not coming out of headphones. Maybe the headphone jack is blown?
2) Audio is coming out distorted on the tape. Levels are fine on the monitor(when the headphone jack worked...) and the XLR cable is secure. Ran several tests and recorded sound acceptably and then relapsed after an hour or so of usage. I've read other threads and it seems this might be relate to the 48V (which might have been on). I'm recording two channels with an me-66.
The camera has 244 hours of use. The heads have never been cleaned professionally. The camera is not under a warranty and I don't have production insurance.
