Headache central - importing

I shot a commercial this weekend, used the straight up F5 setting, normal 24p. I've spent the last 48 hours trying to import the footage correctly and am getting terribly interlaced frames every 2 out of 5 frames.

I've tried every possible Easy Setup, and no luck. Same sh*tty interlacing. I've tried using the interlace filter, and flicker filter and it just blurs everything out.

I don't have too much cash left on this project, but if someone wants to spend an hour tonight, I can send them $25. The DVD is due tomorrow... thanks, Ben.

Ok -- the rough shot of is is you need to Reverse Telecine in cinema tools and that will give you 23.98. Create a 23... sequence in FCP and happy editing.

I'm going to try it now and see if there are any speed bumps.

Good luck, Keep your $$$

Also note since it's 24p you don't HAVE to convert if you don't want to. You could keep in 29.97 and burn to 29.97 DVD. Interlacing is fine if your target is normal video display. (i.e. non-computer)
