HDV Workflow in Ppro 1.5

Anyone have a positive experience editing HDV in Ppro 1.5? I'm filming my first feature in Sept. and am debating whether to go with FCP5 because of the native HDV editing. Any comments would be appreciated...

Thanks,

Try downloading the trail version of Mainconcept HD plugin for Premiere. Or you should wait till Premiere upgrades to Ver2.0.

PPRO 1.5.1 has naitive HDV editing. its a free upgrade from Adobe.com. its basically a lite version of Aspect HD from cineform. it runs slower than aspect HD(so that cineform can still sell you aspect HD.. :( ) but is supposed to work fine.

Bluespider, any idea when the next version of Premiere Pro is due out. I think adobe works on 18 month product cycles, and I think 1.5 came out in September 2004. It seems that March 2006 is too long...

my sources aren't telling me jack snits! It's maybe because they have no idea. i guess your answer is just as good as anyone. I hope they release something soon because I'm ready to leap into the HD realm.

..they better go naitive HD. or else! LOL theyll lose alot of people.. i mean they have naitive HDV now but they need HVX support with DVCPRO HD and DVCPRO 50 and MXF file support. we all need to keep hammering them with product requests at the adobe site.

I've been asking the Adobe folks for years if they would just blend AE & Premiere together and they would have a powerful tool. Yeah, we all know what their answer was. They just want to make their money.

Yes they better definetly go native HD or else Final Cut baby here I come..

i was thining the same thing.. the blending of AE and premiere. theyve started to do it already by incorperating more AE functionality into PPRO, but a full conversion would be really nice.
