So I've shot HDV miniDV footage, and I want to upload the clips to edit.
Do I absolutely need an HDV (or HD) camera to upload them with HDV?
Because I have a regular SD miniDV camera that I use as a tape deck and I was wondering if it would upload fine.
I know that no matter what camera you shoot SD on, it's going to be the same quality if you upload it on any other SD camera.
I was just wondering if it would mess up the footage, the camera, or the tape if I tried to upload HDV with an SD miniDV camera.
The reason I can't upload with the HDV camera is because I don't actually own it and I give it back to the owner every day. That is our arrangement, and it works fine.
