HDV to Prores Capture Problems

First of all, I have a question. Is it normal to get the little dialogue box that only asks you to enter the name of the clip and then capture, without having any controls whatsoever other than "capture" and "cancel", no reel #, angle, etc. when capturing HDV source material to prores 422? I know the regular HDV capture tool is just like the normal one except with a bigger viewer, and it actually has audio monitoring.

Secondly, and this is my main issue actually, whenever I do capture prores 422 from HDV, it writes the video files as a document for whatever reason. FCP Recognizes them when it's in the browser right after capturing, but if for whatever reason it goes offline, or if I try to move the file to another folder and reconnect it to the project file, it won't do it because it can't recognize documents. I also cannot import video directly from the capture scratch due to this issue. Also, it's only capturing that causes this problem, whenever I export something as prores, it comes out with a thumbnail and is shown as being a movie file.

Is this a known problem? If so, are there any known solutions? I really don't want something to happen that would normally cause me to have to reconnect media to turn into me having to recapture media.

Thanks.

OK, I just ran the Pro Apps update. Stuff still gets recorded in a format that the finder sees as a document, however I can now drag them into FCP with no problem.

And if you add .mov to the clips, then you should have no problems. THis issue is known and will be addressed.
