< HDV & mpeg w/ sync problems >

I am using Premiere 2.0 to capture footage from my HV20. For some reason it is capturing the HDV footage as mpeg, not m2t & also I'm having video & audio sync problems.

Anyone else experience this problem?

I editing the piece together thinking the audio & video would sync up one I down-sample it to a SD avi, but that's not the case, the audio is not sync'd correctly & also the edits I made in Premiere are off on the final avi too! :(

Any help or insight is always appreciated!
 
My Premiere has always captured HDV as mpeg instead of m2t, never had a problem editing. Not sure about the sync issue though.
 
^ Thanx jade8472, my MAIN concern is the sync issue, the mpeg is no biggy.

Could the reason why there's a sync problem is that it's a 1 hour mpeg file (the raw footage), so maybe the longer/larger the file, the more gradual, then extreme the sync issues are as time passes?

I would appreciate any suggestions or help!
