HDV & DV fields???

I'm currently editing DV and HDV on the same timeline. I remember doing this a few years back with no problems but now I'm getting field shifts. If I select dv which is lower the HDV begins to stutter and vice versa. Anyone have a fix?
 
The two formats have different field orders. DV lower field first, HDV upper field first. You have to decide which of the formats is the dominant one, set the sequence to that one and then convert the field order for the other content using Compressor with a high setting.
 
I was hoping that there was a easier fix. I've tried field swapper and shift fields but still nothing. I guess there is no short cut...
 
i edit to a progressive timeline- Shooting DVCPROHD 25pn and interlaced Hdv converted to apple intermediate / pro res. Everything comes good on the timeline!

Field flickering used to drive me nuts before i got this trick down.
