Looking for a MASTER of HDV in LOS ANGELES.
Not only should you know the technical ins and outs of the camera itself (HVRZ1U), but also know what it takes to light for HDV to make it look REAL GOOD, almost filmlike (even if shooting at 30fps). The look we are going for is somewht of a My Name Is Earl show. Though live-action, the camera moves should almost be cartoony.
Currently, we are in development of a comedic 1/2 hour TV series and will be shooting a pilot presentation shortly to use to pitch the series to the various cable networks.
Looking for someone with the proper EXPERIENCE to pull off a great looking picture, with little G&E support. Minimal lighting, minimal equipment.
The short presentation we will be shooting will be one location, day exterior. Will shoot for 1 or 2 days, in Los Angeles. Seeing we aren't funded, the position is currently unpaid. But if your into the story/concept, and all goes well, then we'd discuss you coming aboard for the run of the series, once picked up.
We are ultimately looking for the DP for the series. Consider this a trail run for both of us. We want someone creative to come in and work with us as a team player. Making the best out of what we have. We WANT YOUR creativity!
If your up for the challenge, and are into wazky, zainy, stupid humor shows, then send us an email; including your resume, technical experience and links to any online work or samples.
Please have HDV samples available for us to view. Wew will request those if interested.
Write "HDV DP" in the subject line when submitting. NO OTHER SUBMISSIONS or POSITIONS at this time.
