HDV and real time

Hey,

I have HDV footage on my computer (G4 1.42 GHZ, 2GB DDRAM, 2MB cache L3), and I'm having hard time playing back the footage once it is in the timeline. The real time doesnt seem to be handled well.

My misstake: having imported true HDV uncompressed may be....:crybaby:

I figured out I should export it in SD NTSC and edit with it ( I already tried to export using the apple intermediate codec, but FCP still cant read smoothly in real time the footage....

I would greatly appreaciate your help...

I have a G4 1.33 with 2 Gigs of Ram, and I can edit my 720/HDV from my HD100 Natively without any problem. Are you importing as Uncompressed HD or Native HDV?
