HDCAM Workflow

Currently I have shot with Super 16mm negative and I will have an HDCAM transfer, what is the workflow of getting my HDCAM on to FCP? Do I have to go from HD deck to card and then computer? What is the most efficient means of beginning my edit?
 
Some transfer houses offer direct 16mm to ProRes Telecine. There's really no reason to have an HDCAM master made unless you plan to do an online session on HDCAM tape- which is $$$$. 16mm to ProRes and you get it on a hard drive- done.

Otherwise yeah the HDCAM tapes would need to be captured- probably to ProRes or Uncompressed HD via an AJA or Blackmagic card. Again- a transfer house could do this for you as well because an HDCAM deck rental and a card are $$$.
