Apologies if this is a basic question.
I have some hdv footage in Sony Vegas 6 that I have converted to Cineform intermediary codec (HD Codec v1.2) using Gearshift. This generates a 1440x1080 PAR 1.3333 avi file. I need to apply an effect to one of the clips in After Effects 6.5. What are the appropriate settings for import and export back to Vegas in After Effects ?
1. What composition settings should I use? I could use custom to set up 1440x1080 but it doesn't give me the option to change the PAR to 1.3333. Should I use square pixels even though it's squashed.
2. To export I assume you add to render queue. Click on lossless on the Output module, change format options to Cineform HD Codec v1.2. I assume this would output in the same format in which it was entered. Do I have to change any other settings (stretch to fit maybe)
3. For those that use gearshift. If I saved the cineform file over the original would this still be able to be gearshifted back to mt2.
