HD Workflow question...

So I captured/transferred all my clips as Apple ProRes 1980x1280 and it seems like every clip and sequence in my project is just that...except for my final workflow/timeline, which is 720x480. Does anyone know how to fix this, as I really don't want to recut this whole project.

Top Menu: Sequence --> Settings --> the first tab has your size & format options.

To avoid this in the future, before starting your project always set this information ahead of time in the "easy setup". This can be found under Top Menu: Final Cut Pro -> Easy setup.
Your new sequences will follow the "easy setup"' direction.

Thanks! Last question, now that I changed compression/size/format, my image shrank to a much smaller image in the center of the viewer. Any idea how to correct this? Sorry if this is newbie stuff but I'm not regularly an editor...

Yeah that's because your sequence automatically resized all your 1920x1080 clips to be 720x480 to fit in the sequence.

I'm not sure if there is a faster way to do this, but the setting you want to change is under the motion tab of each piece of footage.

Double click on a piece of footage in your timeline, and it will appear in the viewer. Click on the tab labeled "motion".
Inside here is the scale function, which you want to be 100% on all clips. Set it to 100% on the selected clip.

After you have done it to one clip, right click that clip and select "copy".
I think you can now select all the other clips in the timeline. Right click on them and select "paste properties".
An option box will appear, and you want to ensure only "motion" is clicked.

I believe you can do this to several clips at once as I described, but you may only be able to do it one at a time. Give it a shot.

Also check the "distort" setting under motion. Sorry- I forgot. Make sure aspect ratio is set to 0 or you will have space in your frame.
