Delicious.. I have been waiting for this..

Apple has finally revamped it's trailer section.. it has a crap load more HD trailers for just about all the new popular movies..

Seeing the King Kong trailer in HD added a new depth to it... simply stunning... give it a look see..
 
I wish my Mac was fast enough to play the 720 and 1080...the 420 was amazing though. I WANT MY HVX!!!!

yeah it looks great...funny how when people post footage in the screengrabs section that is over exposed...we more often then not crucify them for it...but with jarhead...its cool...i likey....

i want to know what Jamie Foxx was thinking when he decided stealth play in stealth.
 
Overexposure doesn't bother me when it's a stylistic choice; it's when they haven't a clue that bother's me.

I downloaded the trailer 175mb. Anybody know why it would play choppy in QT7 pro. All large files play choppy in QT. Media player plays 3gb files flawlessly while QT bogs down to the point I can't even access the menus? I checked the prefs and all looks in order, any secrets? or is QT just a dog on large files.

P4 3gig asus p5800 2gigs ram 239 gigs HD space, Asus 128mb graphics card.

Media player :thumbup:

QT :thumbdown ?????

I have also been having problems with QT7. Prior versions worked fine. Sometimes a large video will stop playing but the soundtrack will continue. Other times it jumps. I have a high end Dell with 2gb of mem and a 256mb Matrox video card.
 
Mino, I'm having the same problem. The playback is awful. It looks like I'm watching a tree grow!

Specs:

PII
64 megs of RAM (walmart brand)
Trident4 meg video card
Kona HD SDI card
5 gigs system
500 kilobytes media raid
 
Nice. Now when I try to play the 1080i with QT it blows up and I get the "send error report" dialog. I play the 720p and it freezes. Argh.

I have a high end fast machine with lots of mem and video mem.

I wonder if it's an interaction problem with my Matrox RTX100?
 
I busted my 175mb QT download into a widescreen avi weighing in at 500mb and now I can play it fine in WMP...WTF! I even stepped my screen res down from 1600x1200 to 1024x768 and the QT still dogs it....In fact it gets worse at lower res?
 
I think the problem is within the QT application. There's some code in there:

No problems playing the HD QTs here, even in full screen mode. The Kong trailer is amazing at that resolution.

(yay for wmv! let's hear it for variable frame rates and the inability to step and scrub! hooray!)
 
The quicktime player just sucks copious amounts of Ass on the PC...

but i can't say I care at all.. since Mac users get the shaft with Windows Media Player... what goes around comes around I guess..

and Mino..175MB file vs. 3Gb... the 3Gb should play better, unless you have an insanely slow hardrive.. h.264 puts a heck of a lot more strain on your CPU than your harddrive.. as long as you have a fairly modern Hard Drive... you should be ok... but as I said QT Player sucks on windows..
