HD template to a SD project

One quick question.
Can I put one of the HD templates into a 23.98 SD project shot in squeeze and have it work?

I am not sure I fully understand your question. What I think you are asking:

You have 23.98 Standard Definition footage and want to know how it will work in an HD timeline in FCP???

- The answer is yes you can do that, but you will have to render the footage and it will not look any better than the original (unless you add interpolation). Command + 0 will open up the timeline sequence setting dialog box where you can change any sequence into HD or SD, 29.97 or 23.98 or what ever you wish. In the newer FCP version, a 'mixed timeline' will even play without render.

If that is not your question, please rephrase.
 
Thanks for the response but yes, let me rephrase.
Could I go say Effects> Master Templates> 3D text> Atom Strand.Hd and use that in a 23.98 SD timeline and have it render out ok?
