HD Shoulder Mount Question

Does anyone have any idea or any previous experience in constructing an additional shoulder mount/apparatus to hold an external HD monitor on the opposite shoulder?

Basically:

Right Shoulder ---------Behind Head------- Left Shoulder
Camera Rig/Mount ----Straps -------------> Apparatus to Hold HD Monitor

Basically so you can make it easier to use your other hand to pull focus.

so you can basically have the HD monitor on your left side, supported by the apparatus, for viewing while using the right side for holding/operating the camera rig

Can't quite figure out what you're describing Jason... But I'm using a Cavision shoulder mount for my EX1 that I'm very happy with (about $250). Most of the time I use the viewfinder since that gives me another point of contact support besides my right should and two hands on the front handles. I can easily use my left had to pull focus if need be...and still have 3 contract points of support. I also have a top handle mounted Noga arm with an LCD monitor so that other crew members can see what I'm shooting. If I need to see a screen, I just flip out the EX1's great LCD screen.

well, i'm going to be using a merlin with my little hv20 rig and the lcd screen on the hv20 is horribly small, so i bought a 12" hd monitor for better viewing ( https://www.manhattanlcd.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1002 ). i wanted to find out a way to, instead of attaching it to the camera rig and overloading the steadicam set up and going over the weight capacity for the merlin, to find a way to attach the hd monitor to my body somehow so that it hangs on the shoulder opposite the side i'm using to hold the steadicam with.

or if anyone is familiar/can think of any other ideas lol.
