I want to take a screen shot of my 720p video, so do I just make the preview window Preview<Full and then use the snapshot tool?
Last time I tried this the picture was like half the res.

If you can preview pixel for pixel then just hit the "Print Screen" button usually towards the top right of your keyboard and open Pain, then hit Ctrl+V and save as a bitmap, highest resolution. Then open in PS and do as you may.

There are other photo editors that will support the clipboard feature but a bitmap should be all you need I believe.

Set the preview window to Best/Full. Then save it out to either a PNG (uncompressed file) or save it to the clipboard and paste it into a new window in your photo editing program.

I use the snapshot tool all the time. It works fine for me as long as I set the Preview as you mention - Full and Best.

You need to make the preview window the size of the frame.
