I noticed that Rush sells two competitors to the Firestore: Laird and Datavideo. Any thoughts on how the 3 brands compare?

That's what I'm thinking, too. I wish I could get it from Rush, but it seems only B&H and Videoguys have the free second battery deal.

We will have the free second battery deal too. B&H was selected to be a Focus Enhancements dealer to be allowed presales information about the deal, but we will also be allowed to sell the same package at the same time. My rep there said she will ship to all the dealers including B&H at the same time, at the beginning of the year. And she has hundreds of units to cover any and all orders. I guess they knew this unit was gonna be hottt. We will be putting our pre-order units on the site soon, and anyone can email me to place an order for the deal as well. DVXuser price is $15 lower.

Anytime powerdog!  Thanks!  It was my pleasure, and hey, who knew you could swap quick release plates on the DVRig-Pro?  I never would have tried until you asked, that was very cool!  So many people are going to know that from now one, and it will alleviate many frustrations.  Thanks for coming in, and making the trek. ;D
