hmmm thats pretty interesting... just hook it up to the tv and leave it there. And I could display my HVX footage in its full glory... and its cheap. I'll be looking into this more...

It won't do higher than 1080i? Strange. HDCP the reason?

Um, how much higher would you like it to go? Or are you lamenting the absence of 1080p? If you are talking about HVX material, you have 1080p over 1080i, so you aren't compromising.

Beats the snot out of the Apple TV box if you ask me.
