HD footage 720/50P in FCP

Hi all

We rented an HDX900 a while ago and shot 720 at 50P. Really nice camera indeed. So no we took the tapes to some people who had a deck for them and put the footage on a harddisk as both SD footage and as 720/50P.

So but now we'd like to use this HD footage in FCP as it is with the full frame rate, but FCP automatically reads it as 25P as opposed to 50P. How do you HVX-ers use your slowmotion in your NLE? Are there ways to avoid this and actually get your 50P as your recorded it?

Cheers for any suggestions/experience!

Edit: I am aware that FCP does not have a 720/50P DVCPRO-HD timeline setting to choose from in its standard configuration, which would have been the logical solution to overcome this. Any alternatives?
