I would like to use my panasonic LH-1700 in the field for clients and producers to monitor the HD output of the camera. Is this possible? Will the firewire out give me an HD signal that I can convert to HD-SDI for the monitor? what do I need to make this happen?any other recomendations for external field monitoring? thanks for the wisdom-Tom

You can use the RGB cable that come with the HVX. An extension can be added or you can buy 5 meter D4 cable listed on this site:

You will need to flip the monitor if your are using a 35mm adapter. You can buy tripod mount from this co.: http://www.vfgadgets.com/LCDmountPro.htm
