HD-DVD Authoring on Windows...Please help...urgent

Ok, as everyone knows im an avid Mac fanatic and user. I waited and waited for Mac World and the one thing that i actually need, not just want, didnt show up. HD-DVD authoring for Final Cut Studio.

So, im now delving into uncharted terratories (Windows). Running all Intel Macs with XP loaded onto them, i can get this done.

I have an HD-DVD project just about finished, but i cant give it to the replicator/duplicator, idunno what you call them, but its gotta go to get mass produced immediatly.

It doesnt have to have fancy iHD Windows content, just the timeline plays through, with an option to loop it and play again being kind of critical.

I need help being pointed to software on Windows XP that i can use to create and HD-DVD image that is up to SPEC with HD-DVD players. As soon as i get this compatible image, i can burn it to HD-DVD and test it on some HD-DVD players and if it works, then I can finally move on from this 7 month project.

So to those who can help, or those who cant help, but would like to help me search, id REALLY appreciate some help in this endeavor. It is a big part of 86th Street Studios growth to finish this HD-DVD Project, and once done, opens a world of doors for not only 86th Street but also everyone on here.

Please lend me a hand. :dankk2:

We are stuck at this juncture until this gets out the door.

Sonic Scenarist is the only app that I'm aware of currently that can author HD DVDs and Blu-Ray discs. Maybe you can find a Scenarist bay that you could rent somewhere?

There's heresay and forum rumbling that if you encode the video correctly and author an "HD DVD" in DVD Studio Pro (in quotes because when DVDSP says HD DVD they don't really mean the HD DVD invented by Toshiba) that the video will play on HD DVD players, but that you won't have any menu control.

I'm not sure if this thread covers the firmware issue, but it appears that Toshiba HD DVD players with the newest firmware breaks any disc made from DVDSP.

Hope that helps. I know it's not much.

Thanks for the info, i tried that before and while i didnt bother to test on a Toshiba because i knew about the firmware and all that,i couldnt get it to play on my 360. I have to be able to garuntee atleast the Toshiba and the 360, also the high end Toshiba.

Ill look into this Sonic program. Is it a pro app like FCP which is available to the public? Or is it like a full suite of hardware and software.

Thanks again for the reply, im devoting my whole day to this today.

I don't think there's any hardware involved, but it's a suite-type application. I think it's in the "costs more than my house" range.

Best of luck to you. My research hasn't turned up anything short of Scenarist.

Thanks again.

Im thinking hopefully that is, that i will at worst case scenario, be able to export the video in Final Cut Pro using the either Mpeg HD-DVD compatible codec, or the AVC codec. I see them as usable in FCP exporting, and then take that video file into Windows and burn it with a compatible program. Ill do more research on that now.

Of course if anyone here offers this type of service, please contact me, i can pay, just not too much.
:)
