OK, so I ordered my HVX200 and I am ready to take on HD. I just had a few questions about HD codecs...
Why are there new codec like WMV HD and so on? What are these new codecs? What are they all about? Why don't I use the same formats and codes that I've been using for the past 5 years. Do these codecs have something to do with what I will have to do to get my video onto BluRay and HD-DVD? Are these codecs meant to replace MPEG2?
