HD Audio/Video Unsyncing in Premiere

I am using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 and have noticed that if a video clip with audio is longer than say, 3 or 4 minutes the audio eventually becomes unsynchronized to the video. Is this a fixable problem or am I doomed to wasting a half hour of each project syncing video with audio I have just imported?

The footage comes from a miniDV used in a V1U, so it is HD. Also I am importing the footage with a Sony HDV deck.

I've encountered the same problem and have yet to find a solution. I would try capturing without running any other program in the background like internet browser. Or use an independent capturing program like HDVsplit.
 
Thanks! Looks like a good alternative until I figure out the bigger problem. Have you noticed if it keeps the video synced with audio EVEN if I choose not to break it up into scenes? I kind of prefer to sub-clip in premiere.
