HD and FCP

Hi I'm thinking of stepping up to the HD world and was wondering are there any limitations on the type of HD FCP can work with, what I mean is can you work on footage shot on the big expensive $100k HD cameras (for example the Sony HDC F950)?

Also can I convert and up-rez footage shot on the DVX100A (in progressive) and output it to Sony HD Cam?

I am still on FCP 4, however I believe you can work with uncompressed SD and HD in FCP 5. You would require the appropriate input cards, but I believe you could edit HDCAM as long as you have the hard disk space/speed for the uncompressed files!!

FCP 5 has native support for HDV and DVCPRO-HD which are far more affordable ways of working with HD.
