Having trouble with Vegas 7.0 & Raylight Ultra

Just got my HVX..

I use Vegas 7.0 to edit. Been using it to edit DVX footage for a couple years now. Never had a problem.

I read on here the only way to edit MXF files in Vegas is to purchase Raylight. I purchased Raylight Ultra yesterday and installed it.

I try to import the MXF files onto the timeline and I get nothing. It looks as though Vegas does not recognize the files at all.

My question is.. am I doing something wrong? Or Do I need to upgrade to Vegas 8 or 9?

Hey Ben,

Raylight Ultra should work with Vegas 7. You should contact DVfilm.com tech support for help.

You should only upgrade to Vegas 8 or 9 if they provide features that you require. Otherwise, if Vegas 7 suits your needs, stick with it.

Best Regards,
Andy

What are you importing? Video files or audio files?

You should be able to import the MXF files in the Video folder, but not the MXF files from the Audio folder. Check to make sure what you're trying to import.

Raylight requires Vegas 7.0d or later if you are using Vegas 7. Support says he was using 7.0b
so he must upgrade to "d" or later. See Ultra documentation for more details.
