Having capturing issues using 24p Advance

What settings must I have set in FCP5 before capturing 24p advance. And will my audio be in-sync? Shot a Doc in Central and South America, have over 200hrs worth of footage, I have been Logging footage to batch capture and when I start the batch capture I get an error. Somethings wrong with my settings I can feel it. What does my Seq. presettings have to be on? My capture presetting, do keep it in 29.97 or 23.98 pulldown removal. Do I keep it in progressive or interlaced? With the audio, do I have to install DVX audio sync folder from FCPStudio in my plug-in bin, in order to sync my audio? What must I do to get to capturing? Please help! I'm pulling out all my hair over here. Thanks Kiff

Thanks for the quick response but, we found that article yesterday, did what it told me to do, and it still didn't work. Any other suggestions.

Assuming you shot 24pa, F6 mode:
Use the default capture option for 23.98 with advanced pulldown removal. Sequence should be 23.98
No audio sync needed with DVX100A (100 required 2 frame offset)

Thanks for the heads up. It's capturing right now, will see if I have any problems later. Thank you Scott

After you open a new project and set "easy set up" to 23.98 with advanced pulldown removal. Create a new sequence and delete the one the FCP creates by default. If you use the "easy set up" after the project is opened, the default sequence will be 29.97. Make sense? The main point is to make sure the sequence is 23.98.

The guide at the Ken Stone site and is exactly what you need to do. If it didn't work, then you might have missed a step or something else is amiss.

Hope that helps.
