I was wondering if anyone have heard of these or are using them. I am on a very limited budget, $500-800.

Hey,
You know ... for the quality of the light from those units you are better to just buy work lights from the Home Depot and use the extra $$ for diffusion, cine foil, gels or pay the rent.

Really,
besides the barn doors they make the same looking light as the work lights. So better light for the same money ...
