Have you ever invented a novelty toy?

Hey so lately I've been coming up with these really funny ideas for novelty toys... stuff you would find at stores like San Francisco, Ahhh's or Spencer's Gifts, etc... my friends have agreed they are hilarious ideas, and I'm thinking about pursuing it as a side venture.. but i dont know the FIRST thing about how to have a toy/gift thingy made.

Has anybody ever invented something like this? Any idea who I need to talk to to have the toy made, packaged, distributed, etc? I'm in Canada btw...

Obviously I will be googling for a while here but I was hoping someone had first hand experience.. we are a creative bunch, I bet someone has!!!

Yeah I invented a novelty toy... but the shelf-life was too short. I was the first one to start carving my "jill-o-lanterns"... all with a surprised expression.

Every autumn I have the perfect girlfriend for the last two weeks of October.

I never considered selling them though... that would be morally wrong... and make me a pimp(kin).
