Have you adapted the services you are offering?

...Personally, I never try to understand what other people do and why. It's just life on a planet to me.

I did some sports in Middle School and HS, but not football, it was Cross Country and Track, I was tall and skinny, would have been mowed down on the football field ;-)
Even tried Basketball but I was too uncoordinated and gawky to make the moves needed to be good. I still like Volleyball and before the pandemic, I was just getting into
Pickleball, which is Volleyball with paddles for old people ;-)

That's my cross to bear, the human behavior fascination. In another life, I really should have become a psychiatrist/counselor/psychologist. My entire life, people I am close to and even
people who I barely know seem to always want to tell me their innermost thoughts and ask me what I think they should do. I didn't realize this until I was in my
thirties and by then, it was too late, I was too far into working life with kids and mortgages to go back to school.

I do confess, human behavior and motivation is extremely interesting to me. It's fun to try to make predictions about wild, random, emotionally motivated,
totally illogical human behavior. I think I missed my calling.

Maybe, but you appear to be rather critical about other people's choices. Good therapists are open-minded.

So rather than calling football a pointless circus consisting of overpaid athletes, they may simply stop at that they don't enjoy watching the sport.

Well it is a chat board, isn't it? And I'm definitely not a therapist.

We all know each other a bit, at least virtually, I thought we could be a little bit more "real" with each other like we would be at a pub over a beer?
You guys have definitely busted my balls on occasion, I take it as good natured ribbing, not a personal attack or as judgement on me.

It's more about how I feel, not projecting my feelings onto others. I've learned that in therapy, when you are discussing things, it's fine to tell others how I feel and how
something makes me feel. What I'm not supposed to is tell others how something makes them feel or to pass judgement on them for their choices. My opinion about pro football
was formed before I even knew what an opinion was, I was that young and it's just that, an opinion. Not saying my opinion is any more or less important than yours.

I'm not not trying to make value judgements about others, about how watching sports makes them feel. I'm obviously in the minority. Most people LOVE sports and are really into it. And for them, all good.

groveChuck's nightly run on DVXuser...every night around the same time the jokes come out if anyone wants to catch the act.

I have a theory that 3-5 DVXusers banded together to create chaos by purposefully down-voting or up-voting members' posts, likely in an effort to bring the downfall of DVXuser. The first competitor forum that comes to mind is Reduser, but then one must recall Reduser is owned by the same owner of DVXuser, so, unlikely. Perhaps DVInfo, a similar forum that has not been getting the attention that DVXuser now gets, slinking in the wayside, waiting for it's time to shine once again. But now we have the new Newsshooter forum, which means the chaotic voters could very well be Erik Naso and Matthew Allard. The plot thickens.

I'm pretty sure people just react negatively to perceived jerkiness. Getting down-voted seems pretty inconsequential to me.

It's mostly personal. Or not exactly being the sharpest tool in the shed. lol

Clearly, PureDrifting made an ignorant comment about football and JPNola pointed it out and was buried.

You don't need to like football to understand; it could be about any activity. It's like if someone came along and negatively commented about how we spend our time on forums...but in that case the member who'd come to the forum's defense and quote that person with the same response - "Ignorant hyperbole." - would receive 10 up-votes.

It's a beautiful example of a low IQ, bottom-of-the-barrel human thought-process.

Oh my god - build a bridge and get over it.
