Have Mac, recieved iPOD with Windows format

so pretty simple. I recieved an ipod for Christmas and I looked at the settings and it was formatted for Windows. Do I need to return in and get a mac one, reformat it? or what? Can anyone help?
 
You can actually change the formatting i think without reformatting it, but its totally beyond me, as i think apple can burn in hell. Im sure someone around here knows :-D
 
I think all you need to do is plug it in and you should be able to restore it to factory settings, and if it's on a Mac, then bam, you should be all set. Did you recieve it new? Or was there music on it already?
 
All you have to do is go through the setup process and it will reformat the ipod for you turning into mac. Also it should still work even if it's formatted for windows
 
hey thanks guys. I thought it would work anyway. I recieved it NEW without any music on it. But I've used peoples that were formatted for Windows on my mac and it still worked. I just am going to be using it solely on my mac, so want it to run smooth. THANKS! Mac's burn in hell?!?!
