Has the Canon EOS 5D been updated recently?

I ran across an article from December '07 that said an update was coming. I haven't followed camera releases since then, so I was wondering if the camera was updated.

Last I heard it was called the 5D mark II and was going to sport a 16mp sensor, Digic III, auto-sensor-cleaning, a 3" Live-View LCD, etc. Sounds like an awesome camera.

Nothing official yet... the next version of it is all speculation at this point. However, apparently they did swap out a better version of the LCD in the models starting with serial number '2' awhile back. I'll be ordering a 5D this week hopefully. Can't pass up a deal this good.
