The optical quality will likely be too poor to make a quality adapter. But hey, give it a try and let us know how it goes.
 
Don't bother... One of my side gigs installed one of these and when I saw it, that was same thought that went through my head.... until I looked carefully at it.

The best way to describe it would be looking through a plactic folder or thin coffee tin lid... and I don't want my footage looking like that! Especially when there are some inexpensive options soon to be released.
