Has anyone tried these lights?

This looks very much like the TV-West company ads. I don't know if it is the same company but I bought a greenscreen and Frezzi lights from them and they were ok. I don't know anything about these specific lights though.

They are Ianiro copys.
There is not much you can do wrong here (especialy with that price tag).

The original IANIROs are not much more than plastic open face construction lights with barn doors.

I use the originals as the copys (they all made by the same chinese company) - they work both the same, thou the plastic of the Ianiros is a bit thicker.

Don´t know why they cal em fresnells - they are just open faces.
Calling them "open face fresnells" is even more stupid.

Can´t comment on the softboxes and the dame, since mine came without them.

But having 800 watt in an unvented softbox would make me nervous.

this looks like the ImageWest products that are discussed elsewhere in this forum. I have a set of their lights, and while they are not extremely robust, they are all metal, and they perform satisfactorily. I used them on a two-day shoot recently and they held up all day. Yes, they got hot, but don't all lights? the electrics are substantial enough for the currents used.

My review was posted here.
