Has anyone tried products from this eBay seller?

Without having tried these specific products, i would point out that low priced jibs are likely to flex when you go out to 8-10 feet, if using something say as heavy as an HVX. The 4' model would probably be fine.

Do you think it should be all right with only a DSLR body?

Some have such a light build they might even flex with a DSLR. Best to find someone who has tried the jib, or look through the feedback comments.
BTW, since you're here in town, I would rent my 5 or 10' Glidecam Camcrane 1000 for $35 a day with a $100 deposit. Might save you some money if you only need a jib occasionally.
