Has anyone tried finding work through YouTube channels?

Successful YouTube channels seem to be a dime a dozen. Have any of you tried finding work as a motion graphic designer for any channels? I'd imagine it could be a rather lucrative business if you find the right angle. A lot of channels have slick intros and extros and I would imagine a lot of the creators of the channel probably find contractors for their needs. I have one person reaching out to me right now to help her with her channel that I found from an ad and it sparked my interest in possibly finding other work through YouTube.

i wonder, though. firstly does anyone REALLY know what those folks are making (affects budget). secondly, i would think that because its "just youtube/the web" the standards might be lower and someone might not be willing to pay well for good mograph work, might rather pay less for average or poor work (this has certainly been my expereience in every other area!). for all i know that stuff is created in house by the channels creator (someone has to edit all that stuff right??).

just speculating. no personal knowledge of anything here. and no i have not tried.

I do know that YouTube partners like BBTV and others have in-house people that definitely help with YouTube channel creators.
