Has anyone seen this?

Rugged upside down HVX rig. Looks neat.

And he's got some Distagon's on that sucker. Geared up!

it looks like he detached the evf from the hvx and moved it?
 
Oh wow. I didn't notice that! Insane!!! It's a very different looking setup and the footage speaks volumes.
 
It's not edge to edge sharp. =\ The left side of the frame consistantly exhibits softness on wider shots. As to be expected.

If the camera was rightside up it would be the right side of the frame, which is common.

I guess my eyes are just different.
 
It does look great.

Actually lighting footage instead of going into your backyard with your dog makes a huge difference too.

I wonder how much that rig weighs?

Wow, now thats modified man. All that needs now is a Hydra like mod, and then I'd really be drooling over it. LOL.
 
Killer Rig!

Looks even stranger than my "upsidedown" with parts of a slaughtered Betacam.

I wonder how that adapter is build - looks like a cigar-box ;-)

You can watch a few music videos that guy made with it on the footage link, asian music videos = freakin nutz! This guy gets fired from work and BLAM! a band comes out of no where and terrorized him. Love it.
 
This is the best HVX200 shooting I ever saw (on the internet). Technical and beautiful as arthouse short film (although i don't understand a word.)... Very talented guy(s)!

I believed the guy who sings in one of the clips is a professional actor in many movies I've seen. I also believed that the DP and/or director for many of those clips are professional, not indie type.
