Has anyone ever had a recurring dream?

i've had a million alligator dreams. i'm usually surrounded by them, and they're trying to get to me, but i'm not really scared. weird. of course, i did grow up in florida where they are everywhere, and i've been to every gator park in the state. the life of a floridian i guess.

many dreams of mine start the same, but im a lucid dreamer... ( lucky me) they never end the same. im usually fighting the same person over ad over... had it for years... no mater what i just cant finish the fight. the guy just wont quit... i usually wake up after what feels like hours fighting, but we go through such different fights..

I've had the same recurring dream or a variant of it every 60 days for about 10 years.

My first job out of high school I worked as a structural steel draftsman. I worked at the company for 5 years, reaching the post of assistant general manager. My boss was cruel, cheap, demeaning, and quite frightening to be around. He was belligerent and worked the piss out of us. I stayed out of weakness, I suppose.

My dream is always the same....my financial life has crumbled, leading me to crawl back and ask for my old job back. I can literally feel the desperation as I reclaim my old desk, the despair as I start drawing again. It's an awful dream and even though it's been 13 years since I quit, I can't shake it.

I've been having quite a few alligator dreams recently. It's definitely a recurring element in my dreams.

In the past month the most common recurring element is a float plane.

And a particular one that is very very strange (just paradoxic geometeric shapes and feelings of density and infinity)

I had lot´s of those when I was about 4 or 5 years old.
Totaly forgot that till I saw your post.

They where scaring the Sh*t out of me back than.

This may sound strange now but after thinking about it now it seems like I felt the forces and dynamics within the nucleus of an atom. Those gemoetric shapes where almost always spheres and the differences of size and forces between them where breathtaking.

Back on topic:

Reccuring dreams: yeah, it´s like TV, they show it over and over again on different channels.

Last time I head the strangest dream evar.
I was going to a lake and the crew taht builds the dream sets was not done. They plantet trees and bushes, placed rocks and filled the lake with a firehose.
One of the guys sayd "You are to early, come back later"

hmmm... sounds like a story for the next twilight fest.

I used to have a recurring dream that I defused a bomb, and saved people... usually the dream would pop up when I am dating someone. Sadly the dream hasn't popped up for awhile.

Every now and then I dream I'm still in highschool... and I've been in the 12th grade for about 6 years... and I'm too dumb to actually quit going. :cheesy:

I also had recurring dreams of falling... and I used to hear that you need to wake up before you hit... nope... I hit all the time... from all heights, sometimes even from a cliff... and I always hit... and it knocked the wind out of me, but that was it.

You're probably in some hospital on a ventilator and we're all part of your imaginary world...

You need to wake up before you die. Supposedly, if you die in your dream, you die in real life because your brain doesn't know the difference.

Oh ****...

I've died many many times. Shot, bomb, car crash, plane crash, scooter crash, falling...So DVXuser must be some kind of purgatory.

Set up by some unknown enemy and knocked off an elevated train track. Got up from my coffin to avenge my death after the people admitted it at my funeral.
