Has anyone edited HD with iMac 2.4ghz?

I'm considering upgrading my powerpc g5 (2.0) for the new intel imacs. I wonder if anyone has ever used this computer for editing HD, if it is fast, and it can get the job done well, and if the glossy screen has any negative effects on the editing process.

Is 2.4ghz adequate?
 
My 24" iMac 2.16 C2D works very well with DVCPROHD, Actually my G4 powerbook handles it pretty decent too. I don't do HDV but I played with it at the apple store and it was a pain, DVCPRHD is great. I don't have a glossy screen though and I doubt I would select one given te choice. But I don't think it would be a major issue unless you had a lot going on mbehind you all the time in your editing suite.
