Has Anyone Attended Video Symphony in Burbank, CA

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has (or knows someone that has) attended Video Symphony in Burbank, CA: www.videosymphony.com

I attended the open house Saturday and I'm considering their New Media program, as my ultimate goal is to run my own production company one day. This seems like a good fit for me. I need to network and make contacts, because although I have a strong passion for film making, I don't have any friends that do, so I end up doing nothing, because I don't have a budget to pay people etc. Woe is me, right?

Anyway, if you all wouldn't mind, could you please share your thoughts on this school? This particular program is about $20k, which I'd have to fund with student loans, so really want to make sure that I'm making a good decision here.

I went about 17 years ago for just a week, spent about 800 dollars for an Avid Symphony course to get Avid Certified. Best 800 dollars I ever spent. Pretty much paid for itself after a week on my first job.
 
A friend of mine went there and took their motion graphics program a few years ago. A few months after graduating he was able to get a job at a successful energy drink company editing their promotional videos and creating motion graphics and even traveling around the country. He's currently working at an animation studio doing post and he's still paying his student loans. Like any film related institution there are pros & cons and there is never a 100% guarantee you'll be out the door in a year with employers waiting for you outside with big paychecks. But it's gotten my friend somewhere, thought not owning a production company.
